Module on Mother and Child: Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Pediatrics

This c;ass takes the medical interpreter through the female reproductive system, including the first visit to the gynecologist, what happens during the three trimesters of pregnancy, women’s illnesses, children’s illnesses, glossaries for English and target language, practice shadowing in English to work on pronounciation in consecutive and simultaneous modes.

This course is structured around the guidelines and strategies as set forth by the National Council for Interpreters in Health Care and is designed to provide 3 hours toward CCHI National Interpreter Re-Certification.
