CCHI Accredits Highlander’s Extended Basic Medical Interpreting Program

In a letter dated April 7, 2021, the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) congratulated Highlander Communications “on earning accreditation for the program ‘Extended Basic Medical Interpreting,’ CEAP ID #9399. This program is now nationally accredited for 16.00 instructional CE hours. You are now part of a select community of organizations and individuals that share a commitment to educational rigor, excellence, and integrity.”

CEAP is CCHI’s Continuing Education Accreditation Program.

What this means is that in addition to the medical interpreter training provided in the 60-hour extended basic course, students receive 16 continuing education (CE) credits or hours.
